Students at Swiss institutions of higher education (ETH, university, UAS, UTE) who have reached the age of 18 and who are pursuing a course of study that is at least equivalent to a postgraduate degree can order via Projekt Neptun.

This means according to the definition of the federal government: A course of study that usually lasts one year at full time with

• approx. 600 hours of lectures and other study-related activities
• a research thesis (postgraduate thesis)

This means that the respective course of study must correspond to at least one year of full-time study and must include a final thesis. In the case of part-time studies, the lecture hours may be distributed over the corresponding number of years.

University employees can also purchase via Projekt Neptun. Furthermore, members of the following institutions are eligible to order: 

• University Hospitals
• Cantonal hospitals
• Research institutes of the ETH domain (EAWAG, EMPA, PSI and WSL)
• CERN
• FMI
• unisanté
• Agroscope

To access the online stores, students and university staff can validate themselves via SWITCHaai / eduID. If you are enrolled but do not have your login data yet, you can send us your enrollment confirmation via email to receive a code for the validation.

Special case UAS / UTE and laptop obligation

First semester students of a UAS / UTE with laptop obligation can order in the fall before the official Wave opening. Interested UAS / UTE can contact us by email to obtain a code for their students. 

Students and employees of higher vocational schools

Students who are completing a higher vocational education (HF) can also order via Projekt Neptun. The validation is done via code. This code will be provided by your HF. If you have not received a code from your school, you can request one from us by email. Please also send us your confirmation of admission or a scan of your student ID. The same procedure applies to employees of higher vocational colleges.
