How to order?

Here you will find the most important information about order eligibility and order limits, as well as the various validation options. If you have any other questions that are not answered on this page, please check our FAQ or send us an email

Institutional orders are not subject to any quantity limits.

For private orders, the following limits apply:

  • Dell, HP, Lenovo: Max. 2 laptops and 2 tablets per person per academic year.
  • Apple: Max. 1 laptop and 2 tablets per person and academic year
  • Microsoft: Max. 2 hybrid tablets per person and academic year

Limits on other devices / offers apply according to the information on the respective offer page.

Select the desired offer on the Project Neptune website. Clicking the order now button will take you to the validation process. Here you can choose between SWITCHaai / eduID, validation via code and validation via form. You choose the validation method depending on your status - pupil, apprentice, student, alumna or alumnus, employee, institute, educational institution. Click on the corresponding box for more information.

Only after successful validation you can access the online stores and place an order.

Behind our offers are different distribution partners and therefore different online stores: You do not order all offers in one place. If you have never shopped at the online store in question, you can open a customer account with any email address. Please enter an email address that you read regularly, as the order confirmation, the advance invoice and all delivery information will be sent to this email address.

Add the desired products to the shopping cart, enter any billing and shipping address in Switzerland or Liechtenstein and select the preferred payment option from the available ones.

Your order will be processed only after successful payment. Please read more under "Payment options" or in our FAQ.

Despite our controlled authentication via SWITCHaai/eduID, code or form, Apple Switzerland requires additional proof of affiliation to a school or university when purchasing Apple products.

You can upload the proof, e.g. a photo of the student ID, student legitimation, employee ID, teacher card or a letter from the secretary's office, during checkout in the shopping cart. To do so, select your status under legitimation.

This applies to all students, teachers and lecturers. Members of alumni organizations are exempt from the verification requirement and do not need to upload an additional document in the shopping cart.

The online stores offer different payment options: Prepayment / e-bill, Twint, Visa 3-D Secure, MasterCard 3-D Secure, PostFinance e-finance, PostFinance Card, MasterPass. Payment on account is not available as a payment option for private individuals.

The communicated delivery time is calculated from receipt of payment. This means that the ordered laptop is not reserved for you. Only when your payment is received by the distributor, your order is considered complete. Payment by Twint and credit card are usually the fastest payment options.

If you choose prepayment / e-bill, the invoice will usually be sent to you by e-mail within 24 hours. If you do not receive the corresponding email message, please contact the distributor directly, as the email may have been blocked or caught as spam (check spam folder if necessary). A transfer from a Swiss bank account may take up to 72 hours. The delivery time may be delayed - if there is a lot of interest in a device - especially if the desired laptop is out of stock on the day the payment is received.

Only institutional orders can be placed on invoice. To do this, a corresponding institutional account must be opened with the respective distribution partner's online shop.

Delivery is only possible to a Swiss or Liechtenstein address. You can choose the delivery address freely. For example, if you are on a semester abroad, you can have your order delivered to friends or family. HP, Lenovo and Apple products are shipped as registered parcels and can only be accepted personally by the recipient and against signature.

Microsoft orders are not shipped registered. Please make sure you can receive the package in person. Tip: Set up an account with Swiss Post to control receipt and receive up-to-date shipping information via SMS and email.

Information about your order

You can track the order status of your laptop in our distribution partner's customer account. For HP, Lenovo and peripherals you can access your customer account here. Apple orders can be tracked here. More information about delivery time can be found in the latest blog article
