Sophos and Big Sur are not compatible

Currently, Sophos does not support macOS Big Sur. Read Sophos's official press release on the subject here. 

In general we do not recommend users to switch to a new MacOS version immediately when it is released. Very often there are still different software that does not work correctly and you can also expect one or the other unexpected issue, as Heise and Golem.de among others report.

An OS update is only recommended a few months after the release. Important: Make a backuop before, so that you can roll back to it in case of problems!

We assume that ETHZ will distribute the latest Big Sur compatible version of Sophos as soon as it is available. Unfortunately we can't test or offer a new download before then.
